Meet the Artist
I was raised in the mountains and woods of Cheshire County, New Hampshire. Never far from the sight of Mount Monadnock, and surrounded by the magic of this place and its wildlife; I have a sunny spot that I call home.
My inspiration comes from the little moments that occur in the everyday lives of animals. Many of my illustrations include the enchanting "locals" who wander into the yard, the resident characters who live in my stone wall, and the beloved loons who can be heard calling in the early morning.
WHY THE LAUGHING FOX STUDIO?
Not long after building our home, we noticed that our front lawn was being "excavated" by something. Overnight, we had a giant hole and piles of dirt everywhere! As it turned out, the culprit was a fox that we affectionately named Forrest, I needed a name for my studio and The Laughing Fox Studio was born. If you've ever heard a fox vocalizing, you know that it sounds like laughter. The rest is history and Forrest has been at home in our yard for over three years now. Other than being the namesake for my studio, he's been a great source of joy and laughter to us.
